A delegate for Donald Trump from Maryland was indicted Wednesday on federal weapons and child pornography charges, leading the campaign to say he will be replaced immediately. Earlier this month, federal agents raided the Waldorf, Maryland, home of 30-year-old Caleb Andrew Bailey. The federal indictment says Bailey allegedly illegally mailed ammunition and explosives through the United States Postal Service and illegally possessed a machine gun. Further, the indictment alleges that Bailey attempted to use and did use a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct to produce child pornography, and that he also possessed child pornography. The story was first reported by Mother Jones. This is not the first instance of a less-than-savory character ending up on Trump s delegate lists. A white nationalist was listed as a Trump delegate in California, which his campaign said was due to a database error. Trump s campaign said Thursday that Bailey will be replaced, denouncing his actions. We strongly condemn these allegations and leave it in the capable hands of law enforcement, the campaign said.
