MARIE AQUATIC CLUB**************************SSMAC Wins Dave Kensit Memorial Senior MeetThe senior swimmers aged 13 and older qualify for the senior meet based on their morning swims. The top 16 fastest swimmers from each of the morning events at the Dave Kensit Memorial A Championships meet again in the evening to crown the fastest swimmer by swimming head to head based on time and not age. Eleven of SSMACs swimmers qualified for this elite group and managed to accumulate enough points to swim away with the Senior High Point Team Trophy. Leading the <a href=https://www.cups-stanley-cups.ca>stanley tumblers way for the SSMAC swimmers was 15-year-old Brian Lee who won 5 GOLD medals out of 7 races in the senior meet. Brian won gold in the 200m IM, 50m fly back, and 100m free breaststroke. He also placed 2nd cups stanley in the 50m fly and had a 6th in the 200m-breaststroke. These results were more then enough to win him the High Point Indi stanley mug vidual Male trophy for the senior meet. Kyle Matthews 17 racked up the second highest amount of points for his team and that of the male swimmers. Kyle won three GOLD medals in the senior meet in the 50m free, 50 100m fly. Kyle also had a 3rd, 4th, 6th and 8th place finish to help the teams total. Julia Turgeon 15 was the highest scoring female SSMAC swimmer in the senior meet as a result of finishing in the top 8 in all seven of her events. NEWS RELEASEINTERNATIONAL LAKE SUPERIORBOARD OF CONTROL*****************************Update on lake Superior outflow The International Lake Superior Board of Control, under authority granted to it by the International Joint Commission, has set the Lake Superior outflow to 1,560 cubic meters per second m3/s 55.1 thousand cubic feet per second tcfs for the month of October, effective October 1. This is the outflow recommended by the regulation plan for the month of October and is the same as the September outflow. The October outflow will be released by discharging about 1,440 m3/s 50.9 tcfs <a href=https://www.cups-stanley.fr>stanley fr through the three hydropower plants and passing most of the remaining flow through the control structure at the head of the St. Marys rapids.
