Millennials have taken a lot of flak for spending more money on avocado toast than on their financial futures. But a new survey indicates that this criticism may be unfair. Today s 22- to 36-year-olds are actually doing a good job of b <a href=https://www.airmaxplus.it>airmax alancing today s wants and tomorrow s needs, according to a Fidelity Investments report. Our survey suggests that 60 percent of millennials are balancing their current and future priorities with a focus on total well-being, said Brooke Forbes, senior vice president of digital planning and advice with Fidelity. There are a lot of assumptions that millennials only live in the moment, but our research debunks that. Although this group has a wide array of competing financial demands, nearly half 49 percent are already saving for retirement. Wholesale inflation in the U.S. surged again last month, rising 9.7% from a year earlier, in a sign that price pressures remain high at all levels of the economy. The Labor Department said Tuesday that its Producer Price Index mdash; which measures inflation before it reaches consumers mdash; jumped 1% from December. The year-over-year increase was down from the record 9.8% recorded in both November and December but was well above what economists had been expecting. Excluding v <a href=https://www.stanley-cups.es>stanley cup olatile food and energy prices, wholesale inflation rose 0.8% from December and 8.3% from January 2021. The big picture is that inflat stanley cup ion has gained momentum and broadened in the economy, Bill Adams, chief economist for Comerica Bank, said in a note. PAWTUCKET, R.I. - Dozens of pit bull owners paraded with their dogs in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, to celebrate their legal victory that overturned its decade-long ban on pit bills.About 40 dogs and their owners on Sunday celebrated a Superior Court judge s Nov. 18 ruling overturning the ban.Ann Clark of Pit Bulls for PTSD, which organized the parade, said it was a celebration that all dogs are free in Pawtucket. <a href=https://www.nikedunk.us>nike dunk Opponents of the ban say they wanted to honor pit bull owners who left town or gav adidas samba e up their dogs, because of the past restriction, reports CBS affiliate WPRI in Providence. On Sunday, pit bulls with jackets, bandanas and even jerseys, were freely walking the streets of Pawtucket for the first time in ten years. Tim Devine, a pit bull owner, said: I was a little under the radar for a while, because I didn t know if someone was going to come and pick af1 up my dog and take him from me. Devine added that taking his dog to the parade Sunday afternoon was the first time in almost a year that I ve been able to take him for a walk. Pawtucket Police Chief Paul Kelly said the city imposed the ban in 2004 to try to curtail the number of pit bull attacks. At the time, Kelly said local drug dealers were using pit bulls to prevent police from house raids. The state last year barred cities from banning specific breeds. Dog owners say authorities should punish the deed, not the breed.

NEW ORLEANS -- Widespread flooding not only disrupts the living but sometimes also creates havoc for the dead. That s what happened in southwest Louisiana s Calcasieu Parish when an overflowing Sabine River - helped by days of heavy rain - recently pushed water inland about four miles, disturbing graves buried in at least five cemeteries in the towns of Vinton and Starks. The parish Coroner s Office last month completed the recovery of caskets and vaults or lids that floated from their resting places during flooding March 12 and beyond. Charlie Hunter, a coroner s investigator, said the graves are typic <a href=https://www.nikeairforce.es>af1 ally surface vaults, meaning three-fourths of the vault is under ground with the lid only above ground. When water is over the top of the grave for extended periods of time, the pressure causes the grave to either pop the lid or float the entire vault, he said.By comparison, the graves in New Orleans are above ground because the area is considered below sea level and would fill with water if crews dug too deep. Officials said 88 caskets were recovered, skechers most from Niblett s Bluff Cemetery in Vinton. There was catastrophic damage there, Hunter said. The other cemeteries affected were Wimberly in air max 1 Vinton; Doyle annex, Fountain and VFW all in Starks. Some of those vaults affected weighed 1,800 to 2,000 pounds and they were found 100 to 200 yards from the cemetery. People just don t understand the power of water, Hunter said. E
