Courtesy/UNM-LAUNM-LA News:The University of New Mexico-Los Alamos UNM-LA and the Juvenile Justice Advisory Board JJAB have teamed up once again to develop a free workshop for parents and caregivers who are looking to equip themselves with the tools and skills necessary to raise healthy, well-balanced children.The new workshop, Parenting University: Tool Up For Parenting, is designed primarily for parents and caregivers of elementary school-aged children, but those with children outside of that age group are still welcome to attend.Parenting University: Tool Up For Parenting,will be held on Saturday, October 24, 8:45 a.m.鈥?2:15 p.m., in Building 2 on the UNM-LA campus. The cost is free and registration is required. A lig stanley hrnek ht breakfast and mid-morning refreshments will be served.Free childcare for children ages six months through pre-schoolwill be provided by the Ark Child Development Center. Parents are encouraged to call the Ark at 662.4822 no later than Wednesday, October 21 to sign up for childcare.Enrichment activities for children K鈥?, will be provided at t stanley usa he workshop site. Parents should call UNM-LA Community Education at 662.0346 to sign their children up for those activities.Attendees will have a choice between two concurrent morning sessions.
