MILWAUKEE 鈥?A Milwaukee Police Officer was involved in a shots fired incident Saturday night while in pursuit of a suspect who eventually opened fire.Around 6 p.m., officers on patrol spotted a vehicle driving recklessly and began to pursue the car near N. 37th St. and W. North Ave. The suspect eluded the initial pursuit, but a separate squad car noticed the same vehicle still driving recklessly near N. Sherman Blvd. and W. Locust St. Those officers continued pursuit until the suspect eventually crashed the vehicle on the 4100 block of W. Center St. One of the suspects then fled on foot after the crash and shot at the officer in pursuit. The MPD officer returned fire before apprehending the suspect. No one was injured as a result of the shooting.
