Adventure Time seemed like a fun little show about a boy and his canine companion having wacky escapades in a magical, apparently post-apocalyptic world. And then you actually watch the show, and it much weirder and more awesome. It sort of the perfect hipster comedy action <a href=https://www.cup-stanley-cup.us>Stanley cup website fantasy, in which there a weird core of sweetness and you can always count on Finn the human and Jake the dog to be friends and look out for each other. So now a dozen of those short Adventure Time episodes are out on DVD, and you might want to consider buying it. The reasons not to buy this DVD are pretty obvious: Adventure Time is repeated on Cartoon Network pretty often, and you have to be pretty dedicated to avoid watching it for free. Especially if you have a DVR. The DVD, called Adventure Time: My Favorite People, has no special features other than a little informational stanley cups feature called Little Do You Know which gives a short written bio for each of the characters. The 12 episodes don ;t include the show pilot, or the first broadcast episode or anything. But it pretty great to watch 12 Adventure Time episodes back to back. When you watch two hours and 17 minutes of Adventure Time in one sitting, without commercials, it starts to work a strange sort of magic on you. Archaeological analysis of human remains can illuminate incredible truths about our ancient ancestors, revealing hidden truths about their daily lives that we wouldn ;t necessarily be able to find in written records. Other times, it can just be a damn tattletale. In the 500s, Byzantine monasteries were found throughout the deserts of Africa and the Near East. The remote locations were no accident 鈥?these monks were meant to adhere to asceticism, which strictly forbade worldly pleasures and required the monks to live on little else but bread and water. One exception to the isolation of these early monasteries was St. Stephen in Jerusalem, which afforded its monks access to te <a href=https://www.stanleymugs.ca>stanley canada mptations unknown to those of their desert-dwelling brethren. Unfortunately, it seems the monks of St. Stephen weren ;t able to withstand the temptation. The University of South Alabama Lesley Gregoricka analyzed bone samples from 55 skeletons in the monastery. The ratios of carbon and nitrogen isotopes in the bone can be used to reconstruct a reasonable picture of the ancient monks ; diets. And while some of the monks did indeed only seem to subsist on bread and water with the occasional fruits and vegetables mixed in, that wasn ; stanley cupe t exactly true of all the inhabitants of St. Stephen . As New Scientist reports, Many of the monks were found to have bones rich in nitrogen-15, which has to be derived from consumption of animal protein. Being outside gives us a sense of freedom and spaciousness, and as far as some German engineers are concerned, that means increased work efficiency. That why they ;ve invented a dynamic luminous ceilin <a href=https://www.cups-stanley.ca>stanley canada g that simulates working outside during a clouding day. The Stutgartt-based team have created a ceiling that simulates clouds passing overhead. But it more than that the ceiling actually changes and adjusts light levels in much the same way light levels fluctuate outside as the clouds slowly change. Basically, the ceiling is an attempt to trick the visual center of the brain into thinking you ;re outside, and that is meant to create a more pleasant working experience. The ceiling is made up of lots of tiny tiles, each 50 centimeters by 50 centimeters. Each tile has 288 light emitting diodes better known as LEDs inside, and through a mix of red, blue, green, and white LEDs the ceiling can create over 16 million hues. The added bonus is that stanley cup LEDs are energy efficient, so the entire ceiling won ;t take up more energy than a bunch of regular lights would. Team leader Dr. Matthias Bues explains the psychological effect of this ceiling: . The LEDs allow us to simulate these dynamic changes in lighting in a wa starbucks stanley cup y that is not directly obvious to the naked eye. Otherwise the lighting might distract people from their work. But it does need to fluctuate enough to promote concentration and heighten alertness. 822

Light leaks create some of the most serendipitous moments in photography. But in digital, they ;re usually created by faking it in post production. For this week Shooting Challenge, you ;ll use a 2-cent sandwich b <a href=https://www.stanley-cups.co.uk>stanley uk ag to recreate the effect. The Challenge Simulate a light leak by wrapping your lens in a plastic bag. See how below. The Technique The idea comes courtesy of Jesse McGrady and PetaPixel, where you ;ll find the full tutorial . It this simple: You take a sandwich bag. Tear/cut a hole in the middle of the bottom. Then wrap this bag around your lens so the edges infringe upon the frame a bit leave the center open for clarity . As an added bonus, you can actually color this bag with marker to augment of the light effect. To get the most bang for your buck, McGrady advises that you try and catch some direct sunlight in the plastic to get the light-leak effect. Also you kinda need light hitting the bag so shooting with all your light behind you will not really work. And as always, experiment, stanley mug experiment, experiment. The Example Our lead shot is by Jesse McGrady. Note that it uses purple marker in this photo to get that especially cool flare. The Rules 0. No watermarks. They ;re so ugly. 1.
