Latin American nations are trying to locate citizens affected by Katrina, worried illegal immigrants may not seek help for fear of being deported.Tens of thousands of Latin Americans, most from Mexico and Honduras, were living in the New Orleans area prior to the hurricane.President Vicente Fox urged Mexicans to seek help from emergency officials during a televised address Friday in both Spanish and English. He said his government had reached an agreement with U.S. authorities that those who were not documented at the time will not be subject to any pressure or persecution whatsoever. Officials had no reports of any Mexican deaths, but 87 citizens were reported missing, said Mexican Fore <a href=https://www.stanleycup.cz>stanley termoska ign Secretary Luis Ernesto Derbez. BRACEVILLE, Ill. - Radioactive tritium has leaked from three-quarters of U.S. commercial nuclear power sites, often into groundwater from corroded, buried piping, an Associated Press investigation shows. The number and severity of the leaks has been escalating, even as federal regulators extend the licenses of more and more reactors across the nation.Tritium, which is a radioactive form of hydrogen, has leaked from at least 48 of 65 sites, according to U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission records reviewed as part of the AP s yearlong examination of safety issues at aging nuclear power plants. Leaks from at least 37 of those facilities contained concentrations exceeding the federal drinking water standard -- sometimes at hundreds of times the limit. While most leaks have been found within plant boundaries, some have migrated offsite. But none is known to have reached public water supplies. At three sites -- two in Illinois and one in Minnesota -- leaks have contaminated drinking wells of nearby homes, th <a href=https://www.cups-stanley.co.uk>stanley quencher e reco stanley cup canada rds show, but not at levels violating the drinking water standard. At a fourth site, in New Jersey, tritium has leaked into an aquifer and a discharge canal feeding picturesque Barnegat Bay off the Atlantic Ocean. Previously, the AP reported that regulators and industry have weakened safety standards for decades to keep the nation s commercial nuclear reactors operating within the rules. The Universe is so big that it can be difficult to accurately measure the huge distances between things in it. But no longer, because now a team of researchers working on the Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Surveycan measure distances between galaxies with1 percent accuracy. The new gold standard of measurement is a big jump from previous best measurements, as Professor David Schlegel, the principal investigator of BOSS, explains to the BBC: There are not many things in our daily lives that we know to 1% accuracy. I now know the size of the universe better than I know the size of my hou <a href=https://www.cup-stanley.us>stanley flask se. Those oscillations happen to be exactly half a light year long, and it turns out they can be used to measure distances precisely, even from very, very long way away. They also, neatly, provide an insight into the curvature of the Universe. The answer is, it not curved much. The universe is extraordinarily flat, Prof Schlegel told the BBC. And this has implications for whether the universe is infinite. While we can ;t say with certa

Large-scale, international events like the Olympics are often considered as targets for terrorist attacks. The UK Ministry of Defence is taking that extremely seriously: it placing surface-to-air missiles on a residential apartment building during the summer sporting event.
