Last night season finale of Supernatural brought to a conclusion the often-murky battle to stop the Leviathans, and especially their corporate overlord Dick. We ;ve had some outstanding episodes this season, but we 82 <a href=https://www.cup-stanley-cup.ca>stanley water bottle 17;ve also had a lot of disappointments 鈥?especially when it came to exploring all the Leviathan conspiracies, all of which went nowhere. The same could be said about the season finale, Survival of the Fittest. We got some good closure, and a few crisp, funny scenes, but we also got some frustrating randomness too. Spoilers ahead! A recently discovered South African cockroach leaps through the air like a missile, traversing nearly 50 times its body length with every hop. Called a leaproach, the insect only infrequently scuttles like a regular roach. The res <a href=https://www.cup-stanley.es>stanley botella t of the time it uses two powerful hind legs with spring-loaded knees to rocket above fields of sedge grass. Other cockroaches that live in the same environment haven ;t bothered to evolve an ability to jump, but this small cockroach has quite literally made the leap, said zoologist Mike Picker of the University of Cape Town, leader of a Dec. 6 Biology Letters study detailing the leaproach hopping mechanics. It has got an absolutely bizarre body design that evolved around a leaping form of locomotion, he said. About 4,000 species of cockroaches are known to science, and all but the leaproach scuttle on the ground. Picker and his colleague Jonathan Colville discovered the leaproach in 2006 as the insects hopped around a field of sedge grass in South Africa. It wasn ;t until 2010, however, that the taxonomic world accepted the new species, named Saltoblattella monti stanley thermos mug stabularis. The new study reveals stanley cup the leaproach uses its legs much like grasshoppers do, and yet ounce for ounce the leaproach far out-jumps locusts. While a grasshopper can jump up to 20 body lengths, a leaproach can sail forward 48 body lengths. Leaproaches could have evolved any other jumping design, maybe like a flea 8

If you ;re going to name a cluster of galaxies after the mythological character who unleashed evil on the world, this particular is a pretty good choice. It a cacophonous, mixed-up mishmash of four older clusters, plus plenty of dark matter. Officially, this is cluster Abell 2744, and it about two million light-years across. Because the cluster formed from the collision of four earlier clusters over the last few billion years, the cluster is not evenly distributed, giving it a strange, chaotic appearance. While the jumbled galaxies take up plenty of space in this image, there also lots of X <a href=https://www.stanleycups.pl>stanley cup -ray emitting hot gas, which is represented by the vast red region. But what about the dark matter Obviously, we can ;t see that d stanley us irectly, but we can infer its existence due to gravitational lensing. This refers to how much the light from still more distant objects beyond Pandora Cluster is bent by the mass in the cluster. To account for the high degree of gravitational lensing, about 75% of the total mass of Pandora Cluster must be composed of dark matter, and that colored blue in the image. Amazing, Pandora Cluster doesn ;t even have the worst reputation of the Abell clusters, a group of about 4,000 galaxy clusters cataloged by George Abell in 1958. That honor must surely go to Abell 520, which has the wonderfully unflattering name of The Train Wreck Cluster.
